– Finally getting a flatscreen TV
– How you can find inspiration from others to be better at something rather than be lazy about it

I recently started to listen to your podcast. Your “righthand turn test” when following someone in a car was spot on. These people are often very egotistical.
I had a similar experience: I was going pheasant hunting with someone I had to follow down a bumpy dirt road. I was in an old mini-van, the guy I was following was driving a jeep. He was going so fast I couldn’t keep up and I got lost.
He ended up being an egomaniac. I think the same holds true of people who take their time turning left at a green arrow, because they know they’ll get through it no problem. But they don’t consider the 7 cars behind them (because other people don’t matter to them).
I prefer not to spend my time with people who do stupid things like this. They’re indicators of greater egocentrism and stupidity.

Unfortunately there are a lot of people like that these days.
